Today is Kate's last day working with the WWDACT team.
It is very sad to leave the organisation but the FlashMob planning is left in the very capable hands of WWDACT staff.
Kate has had a fantastic time over the last few weeks. She will definitely be around to perform in the FlashMob event next year, March 3rd 2012.
Keep in touch for more FlashMob updates!

Progress for the FlashMob preparations
Well, things certainly are coming along in the preparations for the WWDACT FlashMob dance event.
Over recent weeks WWDACT have been working on finding a suitable venue, suitable music and choreographers to come on board and help out. So far things have been travelling well and many exciting decisions have been made.
More details will be to come through member emails and blog posts - but rest assured that the wheels are in motion for a fantastic FlashMob event!

Introductions
My name is Kate and I have joined the WWDACT team, and will be around for until the end of November. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Social and Community Studies at the University of Canberra. I have taken many avenues of study before settling on this degree, previously studying counselling and also law. I feel as though I have been drawn to this degree as the structure promotes meaningful participation in the local community. As students, we are encouraged to engage with the wealth of knowledge and experience that exists within community organisation. As part of this experience building, I have been given the opportunity to work alongside the WWDACT team for the next few weeks. I am looking forward to learning as much as I can from this great team!
